Public Library

The Nancy Guinn Memorial Library is the main library in Conyers. The library is located at 864 Green Street in Olde Town Conyers. Nancy Guinn Memorial Library houses 100,000 books and audio books, videocassettes, compact disks, and other materials. Satellite locations known as Book Deposits can be found in three county fire stations and offer popular paperback books for check out.

  • Black Shoals Park & Randy Poynter Lake - Includes many activities such as fishing, boating, canoeing, picnicking, and hiking.
  • Milstead Pool - Pool with concession stand, bathhouse, large sundeck, playground, and restroom facilities.
  • Earl O'Neal Sports Complex - 8 softball fields, concession stand, storage, scorekeeper building, RGSA boardroom and facilities. 2 football fields, concession stand, RYFA boardroom and restroom facilities, 8 soccer practice fields
  • South Rockdale Community Park - Pavilion, restroom facilities, picnic tables and grills.
  • JP Carr Gym - 1 gym, a multi-purpose field, and 2 outdoor basketball courts.
  • Legion Field - 11 baseball fields with lights, 5 baseball fields without lights, 4 concession stands, 1 boardroom, 4 restroom facilities.
  • McMiracle Field - Built in 2000 to enable disabled children to experience the joy of playing baseball. This program has been recognized nationally and has been featured on HBO and popular sports programs. Many communities are now making fields like this available in their area around the United States.
  • Georgia International Horse Park - Offers miles of trails for horseback riding, bike riding, and walking. The trails were built for the Mountain Biking and Equestrian events of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. A nature center is in the planning stages as well.
