Distribution of Existing Land Uses
There are 7,226 acres of land within the City of Conyers. Residential land uses occupy the largest percentage of land area within the City. There is almost an equal amount of land devoted to single-family land use and multiple-family land uses at the present time.
Land devoted to park, recreation and conservation occupies the second largest land area within the City. The majority of the land within this category is located within the GIHP and is reserved for future development.
Industrial and commercial land uses at 19 percent and 17 percent respectively constitute the largest amount of developed land outside of residential uses.
The land use survey indicated that just over twelve percent of the land area within the City is presently vacant or undeveloped.
