Occupation Tax Registration

Interested in starting a business in Conyers? An important first step is to obtain an Occupation Tax Registration, or business license, for your new business.

All businesses operating within the City limits must register for an Occupation Tax Registration from the Planning and Inspection Services Department. To obtain an Occupation Tax Registration, follow these guidelines:

• Obtain an application from the Planning and Inspection Services office.
• If necessary, pass a building inspection from the Rockdale County Fire Department and City of Conyers Planning and Inspection Services Department.
• Pay the appropriate occupation tax.
