Georgia Intl. Horse Park Closed Through May 24
The city of Conyers, Georgia and the Georgia International Horse Park believe we have an obligation to look out for the health and well-being of our entire community, and that is why the decision has been made to close the Georgia International Horse Park to organized events due to the COVID-19 outbreak through May 24. The Georgia International Horse Park’s trails system will remain open for passive recreation to individuals. Organized group use of the trail system is not permitted.
This closure is effective March 18-May 24 and to take every precautionary measure, the venue will be thoroughly cleaned during this closure. Staff members will be working on an alternating basis to limit human-to-human contact among team members.
The GIHP staff is currently working with many promoters and event producers to reschedule events, and will provide regular updates as quickly as possible. The most up-to-date status of events will be listed on the Calendar of Events on the venue website at www.georgiahorsepark.com.
The Conyers City Council, city officials and Horse Park staff will reevaluate the current status of the coronavirus outbreak as needed regarding the need for further closings. Safeguarding the health and well-being of Horse Park clients, guests, team members, supporters, residents of the city of Conyers and Rockdale County, and all of Georgia is of our highest priority.
