An Olympic Legacy
One of Atlanta's greatest legacies of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games is the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers. Here, champion athletes from around the world came to compete in equestrian, mountain biking and modern pentathlon events, and equestrian events for the Paralympic Games. Considered by many to be one of Atlanta's most successful post-Olympic venues, the sprawling 1,400-acre Horse Park is a hub of activity for equestrian and mountain biking events, golf, festivals, concerts and more.
The Georgia International Horse Park is home to:
- 77-suite Hawthorn Suites Golf Resort
- Cherokee Run Golf Club designed by golfing great Arnold Palmer
- Mountain biking trails
- Horse trails
We invite you to visit the Georgia International Horse Park website, the Conyers Welcome Center or the Horse Park to learn more about our city's Olympic treasure.
