  • City Offices Delayed Opening Thursday, January 18

    Due to inclement weather, city offices will delay opening until noon on Thurs., Jan. 18. The city council meeting scheduled for Wed., Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. will take place as scheduled in Council Chambers, second floor of the Conyers Police Department, 1194 Scott Street.

    The Rockdale Coalition for Children and Families is soliciting applications for the annual John K. Morgan Community Service Scholarship and the F. William Hughey Community Service Award. The deadline for applications is January 31, 2018.

  • Conyers DDA Names Magnolia Assisted and Memory Care Recipient of 2017 Outstanding Achievement Award

    The Conyers Downtown Development Authority (DDA) presented their third annual Outstanding Achievement Award to John Shelley of the Magnolia Assisted and Memory Care for his efforts in preserving and beautifying the Magnolia Assisted and Memory Care facility at 964 South Main Street.

  • Tourism Expenditures Increase in Conyers, Rockdale County

    According to figures released by the U.S. Travel Association who conducted an annual study for the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the city of Conyers and Rockdale County held onto its ranking of 29 out of Georgia’s 159 counties in the state in the level of expenditures among tourists.
