Mayor Randy Mills and the Conyers City Council held their annual State of the City Address at Cherokee Run Golf Club on Wednesday, January 6, 2016. More than 150 invited guests, citizens and city staff members were in attendance for the address with the theme of “Connection, Community, Conyers.”

The annual tradition of ice skating in the Olde Town Pavilion is underway! The rink, operated by Ice Days LLC, is located at 949 S. Main Street and runs through February 24, 2019.
A new city hall is one step closer to reality as the Conyers City Council approved two contracts at the October 17, 2018 meeting: contracts naming Precision Planning, Inc. for architectural design and engineering services and Reeves Young the firm for construction manager at risk.

A $13 million bond was approved by city voters on May 22. The funds will be dedicated to upgrading the Conyers Police Department and to accommodate a dedicated municipal courtroom. The bond will also include the construction of a new city hall.

According to figures released by the U.S. Travel Association who conducted an annual study for the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the city of Conyers and Rockdale County held onto its ranking of 29 out of Georgia’s 159 counties in the state in the level of expenditures among tourists.
As the city of Conyers prepares to update the Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP), the public is invited to a series of five public meetings designed to inform, educate, and solicit feedback from citizens.
