The city of Conyers is pleased to announce the arrival of drone delivery from the Conyers Walmart store located at 1436 Dogwood Drive. Wing, a drone delivery company established in 2012, has partnered with Walmart stores across metro Atlanta to offer drone delivery to customers. Conyers is one of the first locations permitted and intends to be first in flight. Construction is underway at the Conyers store and deliveries are slated to begin soon.

“We’re thrilled this technology that provides convenience of delivery via Wing to Walmart customers in Conyers is here,” said City Manager Kameron Kelley. “The appropriate permits have been issued and site construction, flight testing, staffing and training for the site are underway.”

Each drone in the Wing fleet weighs approximately 11 pounds and can carry just under 2.5 pounds of goods or products. The drones can fly in a range of up to six miles one-way from the launch site.
