Movie in the Park is a free event celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a showing of the movie "Encanto" at Celebration Park (949 S. Main Street in Olde Town Conyers) on Friday, September 18.

The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with a Latin DJ and Latin street food vendors selling delicious items such as empanadas, papa rellena, elote and churros. Movie-style concessions including popcorn, snow cones, and cotton candy will also be available for purchase. The J.H. House Mexican Dance Team will perform at 6:15 p.m.

Face painting will be available on-site. A team from Toole Design will also be on hand at a pop-up to introduce the Olde Town Conyers Planning Study that examines multi-modal connectivity, public space enhancements, creative placemaking, green infrastructure, and economic and housing development in and around Olde Town. Stop by their tent to share input about what you value about Olde Town and changes you'd like to see.

The movie "Encanto" will start at 7:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to bring chairs and blankets for viewing comfort.
