Conyers Police is a Four-Time CALEA Accreditation Agency

The Conyers Police Department received international accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) in 2012 and received its fourth reaccreditation award in 2023. The agency also participates in the Georgia State Certification Program through the Georgia Association of Chiefs of Police. Both of these voluntary programs provide public safety agencies with an opportunity to voluntarily meet an established set of professional standards. 

The Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) public access portal is now open for public comment on the compliance of Conyers PD to CALEA standards.

This access allows for the public to provide comments, commendations and other information regarding the department's quality of service or other information relevant to the accreditation process.
