Building inspections provide a valuable service and help ensure the safety of the future occupant and all those involved with construction of a home or facility. All residential and commercial inspections within the City of Conyers are handled by the Department of Planning and Inspection Services, and include:

• Footing and slab inspections
• Framing inspections
• Electrical rough inspections
• Mechanical rough inspections
• Plumbing rough inspections
• Insulation inspections
• Site inspections for soil erosion
• Final inspections

Please note that all inspections require at least a half day notice.

Beginning January 1, 2026, the city of Conyers continues to follow and enforce the applicable building codes as adopted by the DCA.
